For me Basil Rathbone is the only Sherlock Holmes and Nigel Bruce the only doctor Watson. Every once in a while I watch these movies and takes me back to my childhood days which was priceless to me. Thank u Mr. Rathbone and Mr. Bruce for the top acting !!!❤❤❤❤❤

What a cheesy movie. You can tell that at least half of the helmets aren't real (plastic?). And just like all the suck war movies of the 70's, everyone needs a haircut for the period they're portraying. Released in 1967? Why would anyone even make a war movie like this when you could just watch the uncensored stuff on the network news each evening from Vietnam?

According ti IMDB, this film was released in 1946, not 1942. I can't sure though, I wasn't there.😁

I was 12 when this movie came out. The preview scene I remember is when the short Japanese soldier who smiled a lot was killed and he flashed back to his boyhood days before he died. That scene has stayed with me since I saw it, and I'm 68 now. Thanks for making this movie available on RUclips.

I remember watching this movie in the drive-in at W.11th & Seneca, Eugene, OR. I was 9 years old at the time. They shortened it which lessened its modern impact.

This IS a Hollywood movie so all the helmets must be held on securely by chinstraps but in reality armillary fire landing nearby would snap the neck of anyone with a tight chinstrap, or so some vets of this era of combat have said/

Love the classics where the king wears a crown, the good wear white and the bad are dressed in black, just in case anyone in the audience had trouble following the plot.

I liked the movie but you putting your advertisement on the screen was a bit too much. Hard to get lost in the movie when subscribe keeps popping up and the name of your account other than that it was a great film

I'm 13 and my mom showed me this show about 2 weeks ago. I love this show and I think it still holds up today, honestly better than anything else I've watched.
